The strange, sad tale of Kareem Hunt just keeps rolling on. The embattled NFL running back has been through more twists and turns in his 24 years of life than most, and we can now add another unfortunate item to his list of indiscretions. Last week, the Cleveland Brown was pulled over for speeding by a police officer in Rocky River, Ohio, and in dash cam footage obtained by TMZ, he's revealed to have had an open container of vodka and a backpack containing marijuana inside his car. The footage is stunning.

"Officer, I've been through a lot," Hunt is depicted as saying.

You've got that right, man.

Hunt also admitted that he had recently failed a drug test. He was subsequently escorted into the police officer's vehicle. The cop -- who claimed to be a Browns fan -- then gave Hunt something of a tough-love pep talk about what continued scrapes with the law could mean for his future.

Miraculously, after the officer confiscated the marijuana, Hunt got off with a citation for speeding and, as far as we know, nothing more. Perhaps this is the second (or third or fourth or seventh) chance the kid needs to get himself back on track. For now, suffice to say that he's dodged a serious bullet.
