VIDEO: Jozy Altidore Bicycle Kick Gives USMNT 1-0 Win Over Panama in Gold Cup
By Michael Luciano

Bring on Curacao! The United States Men's National Team look like a well-oiled machine with Gregg Berhalter and his system in place. After struggling to break down a tough Panamanian side for much of the game, Toronto FC's Jozy Altidore broke the deadlock in the 66th minute with a sublime bicycle kick that sealed a perfect record in group play for the Americans.

While both teams managed an equal seven shots on target, the Americans had 62 percent possession, indicative of a team that was dictating the flow and tempo of the game more so than the Panamanians.
Even without many of their best players, performances from NYCFC's Sean Johnson, Toronto's Omar Gonzalez, and Seattle Sounders' Cristian Roldan deserve praise, especially Roldan controlling the game in midfield.

With their loss today, Panama will face a spirited Jamaica side in the next round, while the USA takes on Curacao. While these are hardly indication that the US is ready to compete on the biggest stage in the world, the team has made massive improvements under Berhalter.
