VIDEO: Josh Donaldson Unleashes His Second Homer of the Day Against the Mets

Josh Donaldson has managed to bring the rain on a sunny day at Citi Field on Sunday. Donaldson just launched his second long ball of the game in the bottom of the seventh against reliever Paul Sewald. The homer gave the Braves a 2-0 lead with runs coming on Donaldson solo shots.

Donaldson now has 32 home runs on the season with a .919 OPS. The Braves signed the former AL MVP to be an established power bat in the middle of a young lineup, and that is just what he's provided.

It also helps that Donaldson has crushed the Mets, a divisional foe, all season long. He has nine homers this year against New York.

After Sunday, the Braves and Mets will have played six games in two weeks, with Atlanta winning both series. New York could have made a real dent in the Braves' division lead, but has failed in no small part due to Donaldson's success.
