There's no doubting that Josh Donaldson has a lot on his mind as he reportedly has several teams courting him in free agency this offseason. This is what it's all about, folks.
"So my mom made a deal with me if she quit smoking that I would buy her a Maserati," read Donaldson's caption on Instagram. "2 years of not smoking and here is her early Christmas present from Briana and I. Trust me you are going to want to watch this."
Throughout his career, the third baseman has openly lauded his close relationship with his mother. As a child, the Donaldson's father was sentenced to 15 years in prison for domestic violence and drug-related charges. The role French played in his life cannot be understated and makes Friday's touching exchange all the more special.
Next up for Donaldson? A likely lucrative contract after a stellar 2019 campaign with the Braves.
