VIDEO: John Sterling's Call of Aaron Hicks' Blast of a Foul Ball is Hilarious

Yankees' legendary broadcaster John Sterling is well-known around the MLB for his longtime career doing play-by-play in New York. During Sunday's game between the Yankees and Houston Astros, Sterling was sure that center fielder Aaron Hicks had just blasted the Yankees first run of the game. Turns out, it wasn't quite what he thought.

Sterling, along with the majority of Yankees Stadium, thought the ball was gone. After Hicks blasted a 2-0 pitch along the right-side line, it looked like a for sure home run.

However, it was quickly determined that ball went foul and Sterling's call was absolutely hilarious.

John Sterling's calls are the gift that keep on giving. In every Yankees game since the late 1980s, Sterling has worked his magic to bring the game to life with passion and humor.

His call of Hicks' deceiving foul ball is just one example of Sterling's great work. As one of the broadcasting legends of the MLB, Sterling's calls get attention from much more than just Yankees fans. One fan, in fact, loves his play-by-play so much that they dedicated an entire Twitter page to John Sterling calls.

Not even at the halfway point of the 2018-2019 season, we can hopefully expect plenty more hilarious John Sterling calls this year.
