VIDEO: Joey Gallo Hits a Mammoth Home Run off Will Smith in 1st All-Star Game At Bat

Stop me if this sounds familiar. Texas Rangers slugger Joey Gallo just obliterated a baseball into the right field bleachers, left-handed pitcher be damned. San Francisco Giants closer Will Smith left a 94 MPH fastball right in the middle of the plate, which Gallo promptly slammed into the stands in right to give the American League a 4-1 cushion over the National League.

Gallo, who was snubbed from the Home Run Derby despite almost freakish levels of raw power, is exacting his revenge in the All-Star Game itself, going yard in what has been his only at-bat to date at the midsummer classic.

Any time your OPS is 5.000 in any context, you're doing something right at the plate. Something tells me you'll see Gallo at the 2020 Home Run Derby at Dodger Stadium.
