VIDEO: Javy Baez Bizarrely Bats Lefty vs Reds With Position Player Kyle Farmer on the Mound
By Michael Luciano

Rather than slam an eephus pitch into the left-center field stands at Great American Ball Park, Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez took pity on Cincinnati Reds catcher Kyle Farmer, who was forced to pitch in a 12-5 blowout. To even the odds and make it a fair fight, Baez went up to the plate left-handed. While he took a huge swing at Farmer's first offering and missed, he managed to get some good loft under the second pitch, but ultimately flew out to center.

Baez, who some claim is a natural lefty, has a history of launching bombs left-handed in batting practice, so this wasn't a complete joke for him.
While it's almost a certainty that the Reds didn't appreciate their rival showing them up like this, Baez's little exhibition was objectively funny and creative.
