VIDEO: Javier Baez Wallops 3-Run Shot to Give Cubs Lead Over Padres

Simply put, Javier Baez is a one-man wrecking crew. The Chicago Cubs shortstop has had a stellar day at the plate in the Windy City, and he put his team in front of the Padres with one swing of the bat, depositing a three-run home run in the left field bleachers to make it a 6-4 ballgame.

The blast, which traveled 412 feet, also put Baez a triple shy of the cycle...in the fourth inning.

He came into the day with just a .645 OPS in the second half, so he was definitely due for an offensive explosion. Now, he's carrying his team and is searching for history.
