VIDEO: Javier Baez Rips Solo Shot to Put Cubs on the Board

After Chicago Cubs superstar shortstop Javier Baez was announced as a National League All-Star starter for the second straight year, he's continuing his stellar season, this time with a big play against the Pittsburgh Pirates. With the Cubs down by four in the second inning, they were in need of a spark, and who better to provide it than Baez himself?

That solo shot cut the Pirates lead down to three, and it marks his 21st homer of the season. Baez has yet to announce whether he's going to participate in this year's Home Run Derby or not, but if that moonshot is any indication, we'd say he would be one of the most fun players to watch in the competition.

We'd love to see what the All-Star could do following his 16-home run performance in last year's Derby.
