VIDEO: Jason Heyward Robs the Cardinals With Awesome Diving Catch in Center Field

Something about web gems just get the blood flowing! During Thursday night's NL Central rivalry clash between the Cubs and Cardinals, St. Louis starter Jack Flaherty stepped up to the plate to in the bottom half of the fifth inning looking to help his own cause. And off the bat, it appeared as though the right-hander was going to plate a pair of runs. However, Jason Heyward tracked the liner down in right-center field with a spectacular diving catch to keep Chicago within striking distance down two runs.

And he managed to avoid a collision with Nick Castellanos while making the grab, too! Not bad, big man.

If not for Heyward's heroics, that ball was bouncing to the fence and the Cubbies would've been staring down the barrel of a 4-0 deficit.

Take a bow, Jay-Hey.
