VIDEO: Jarvis Landry Responds to Reported Browns' Rift After Baker Mayfield's Duke Johnson Comments
By Michael Luciano

Things may not seem as rosy as you would be led to believe around the Cleveland Browns, as running back Duke Johnson's trade request has upset the apple cart to a degree, with some even reportedly taking issue with the way quarterback Baker Mayfield has handled the request. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry, however, is insisting that the disgruntled Johnson and his trade request are a "non-issue" and that the media is blowing this entire situation "out of proportion."

Dysfunction? Around the Cleveland Browns? Surely this can't be true.
In addition to Duke Johnson causing a rift between Mayfield and his teammates -- although Silver acknowledges that Baker and the unnamed teammates in question have hashed out their differences -- head coach Freddie Kitchens is taking a greater role in the offense than initially expected.
Apparently, new OC Todd Monken and his vertical scheme hasn't integrated well with what Kitchens wants to do.
I also reported that the transition to new OC Todd Monken has not gone as smoothly as planned, resulting in HC Freddie Kitchens playing a greater role in spearheading the offense than originally intended. We'll keep an eye on this as the season approaches

Even Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. aren't enough to totally eradicate all the dysfunction brought on by two decades of ineptitude in Northeast Ohio at this particular juncture.
