Jalen Hurts made himself into a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2019 running the Oklahoma Sooners offense -- but before he ended up in Norman as a graduate transfer, he led high-powered Alabama teams to great heights. During practices ahead of this Saturday's Senior Bowl, the QB had a chance to catch up with the man that helped shape him from high school stud into collegiate champ: Nick Saban, his old head coach in Tuscaloosa.

That's pretty adorable. It really must be said.

Hurts may have been supplanted by Tua Tagovailoa and Tide fans may have never looked back, but that doesn't take away from his long list of accomplishments playing under Saban. He was an SEC and national champion as a Bama player, and won a boatload of games alongside teammates with serious NFL talent.

In fact, Hurts' time in Tuscaloosa was so meaningful that he'll wear a special split helmet for the Senior Bowl that's half Roll Tide, half Boomer Sooner. That tells you everything you need to know about the kind of regard he continues to have for Coach Saban and Co.
