VIDEO: Jake Bauers Completes Destruction of Tigers and Hits for the Cycle
By Mark Powell

What a night for the Cleveland Indians offense in Detroit. If you haven't been on the Jake Bauers hype train, Tribe fans, we can't blame you. The 23-year-old came into the game hitting just .209 (otherwise known as a few bad outings from under the Mendoza line) with 7 home runs and 22 RBIs. Modest numbers. On Friday night, Bauers had the game of his life, raking for the cycle and capping it off with a home run in the eighth.

As for the Tigers, this is far less embarrassing than anything Nicholas Castellanos said off the field prior to Friday's matchup, when he essentially dared the team to trade him and vehemently denied any move to first base.
Castellanos’ comments before the game were far more damaging than anything that has happened on the field tonight https://t.co/GnkRMT6l8b

Cleveland has utterly owned Detroit for the past half-decade, and games like this are a subtle reminder that the Tigers rebuild is still several years away from paying off.
