VIDEO: Grambling State Player Suffers Gruesome Compound Leg Fracture (Warning: Graphic)
By Michael Luciano

Due to the inherit violence in football, every now and again a freak injury crops up that can only be described as horrifying and sickening. During Grambling State's matchup against Louisiana Tech, senior Bulldogs defensive back Danquarian Fields had to experience one of the most gruesome injuries one could ever imagine when he suffered a compound leg fracture after getting sandwiched between a Louisiana Tech player and one of his teammates. Be warned, the video of Fields' injury is extremely graphic.

Fields, a senior safety who has started for the last two seasons, figured to not only be one of the best players on a team vying for the SWAC title, but also was slated to be one of the veteran leaders in that locker room.
Fields was taken to a hospital after that injury, but it is likely that this will be the end of his 2019 season.

Hopefully this isn't the end of Fields' football career and he can find a way to get back on the field for Grambling at some point in the near future.
