By Scott Rogust

The Subway Series between the Yankees and Mets is a battle of bragging rights. With the series split at one game apiece on the year, the Yankees were the first to get on the board in the third meeting. In the top of the second inning, Gleyber Torres smacked a single to left field, allowing Didi Gregorius to score from second base, giving the Yankees the 1-0 lead.

The Yankees weren't done there, as starting pitcher James Paxton hit a sacrifice bunt to allow Edwin Encarnacion to score from third base and extend their lead to 2-0.
