VIDEO: George Springer Becomes First Player in Astros History to Hit 17 Home Runs in First 45 Games

George Springer is having himself an incredible season leading off for the Houston Astros, and he continued his monster campaign under the Friday night lights of Fenway Park. Springer launched his 17th homer of the season, becoming the quickest Astro to achieve that feat, taking just 45 games to do so.

The former World Series MVP is looking to churn out a regular season version of that very award, while perhaps also duplicating his postseason heroics from 2017.

Entering Friday's contest he was slashing an unreal .320/.400/.651, and those figures are set to improve after his showing against the Red Sox. It looks like the team is in good hands while Jose Altuve is on the mend.
