Stop us if you've heard this before in recent weeks, but a broadcasting crew calling a nationally-televised LSU game was caught in the act of alarmingly overhyping star quarterback Joe Burrow. This time around, CBS' Gary Danielson bizarrely asserted that the future lottery pick is breaking "the mold of what a quarterback looks like."

Look, we thoroughly rate Burrow's current superstardom for the Tigers and the potential of what he could do under center in the NFL, but what on earth makes him unequivocally different to that of your stereotypical quarterback?

Burrow mustered 39 yards on the ground in the first half and now Danielson thinks he's the second coming of Lamar Jackson, a player who is presently in the midst of breaking the aforementioned mold of gunslingers.

The Heisman favorite is having a strong outing against Georgia, but Danielson needs to settle down with his commentary.

Can't we please just cherish Burrow for what he is instead of attaching nonsensical comparisons and unrealistic expectations to his name? We don't think that's asking for much.
