The push for robot umpires in the MLB only continued to gain steam in 2019, and Pitching Ninja, one of the leading commanders in the fight to remove the human element from the game, showed just how horrid professional umpiring can be over the course of an entire season. This compilation of the worst strike or non-strike calls from the 2019 season should create a few more converts to the robot umpire cause.

This video is about 90 seconds long, and it easily could have been an hour long if he was to include every single horrible miss.

The worst call in this group comes 13 seconds into the video. Sure, it's a position player pitching and throwing eephuses just to get out of the inning, but that call wouldn't have been accepted in a little league game.

Robo umps haven't been a complete home run, as the Atlantic League is still working out the kinks with this new element, but I think we can all agree that it would certainly be an improvement over calling a pitch that was five inches outside the zone a strike.
