Mississippi State outfielder Elijah MacNamee belted a three-run homer in the top of the ninth inning to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 8-1, which basically sealed the deal and advanced them to the College World Series once again. That would pump up anybody, and as he rounded the bases he showed a lot of emotion. Well, the first base umpire was not a fan of it.

I don't know what he said but he did wave him by with some authority. I doubt he was congratulating him on the big swing.

Bottom line: It's disgraceful for an adult to get on the case of a KID who had one of the biggest swings in his young baseball career. He just sent his team to the CWS, take a chill pill and let him have his moment.

We're just glad that MacNamee basically ignored him and kept running in celebration of his big swing. We are talking about college kids, most of whom won't be big leaguers. This is a monumental moment for them, so go ahead and celebrate.

Let. The. Kids. Play.
