VIDEO: Eric Reid Endorses Colin Kaepernick But Fears Saturday Workout is a PR Stunt

The Colin Kaepernick story has leaped back into the limelight when it was announced Kap was going to work out in front of representatives from all 32 teams. Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid, who famously took a knee with Kaepernick when the pair were teammates on the San Francisco 49ers, is in favor of the workout as it pertains to Kaepernick potentially signing a contract, but he doesn't think the league is being totally honest with their intentions.

While this could be a golden opportunity for Kaepernick, who recently reached an undisclosed settlement with the league after starting a collusion lawsuit, to sneak back into the NFL, some are privately criticizing this as a sham and nothing more than the league trying to make it seem as though there's nothing fishy going on with the Kaepernick saga.

No matter the intentions of every individual NFL team or how pure they may or may not be, Kaepernick has his best opportunity to show he's worth a spot on an NFL roster. If he displays his arm talent and measurables are every bit as good as the day he was blackballed, then some NFL team is going to be strong-armed into giving Kap a deal to get him back in the league.
