VIDEO: Dodgers Fans Adorably Sing Happy Birthday to Alex Verdugo
By Parker White

It's always nice to have family and friends sing happy birthday to you. But, what about when 40,000 people or so do it? This happened to Los Angeles Dodgers youngster Alex Verdugo, who just turned 23 years old. Turn up the volume for this one:

Anyone else have goosebumps?
What's crazy about this is the fans would theoretically pull such a move for an established superstar or icon like Clayton Kershaw. Instead they serenaded a kid who has 95 career games in parts of three seasons. Yes, Verdugo is a nice player with upside, but he's not the face of this franchise. I'm surprised people knew it was his birthday.

Of course, in 112 at-bats this season he's slashing .330/.377/.536 with 13 extra-base hits and 20 RBI. If he keeps this up over the course of a full season, May 15 in Los Angeles will become a holiday and he'll get a key to the city.
