ESPN's College GameDay kicked off today, as the college football season is officially back, but one member of the crew is getting a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons. Desmond Howard has been staple on the show for many years, but even experienced talking heads can have shaky moments. When discussing the rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan, where played his college ball, Howard made an extremely questionable comment.

Yeah, sorry Des, but that's not going to fly on national television.

And to make matters worse, Howard's comments occurred in the most family-friendly place on the planet-- Disney World.

Howard was quick to apologize for the on-air gaffe, expressing remorse for his poor choice of words on a national broadcast, and explaining that he was referencing comedian Wayne Brady.

“I’m a big Wayne Brady fan. I made a comment that was supposed to be taken as a joke. If I offended anybody, I apologize,” Howard said. The “choke” line comes from a famous Chappelle's Show sketch in which Wayne Brady shows his “dark side,” poking fun at his “good-guy” image.

It wasn't his best moment on a national spotlight, and hopefully he'll learn from the fairly egregious mistake he made Saturday morning.
