VIDEO: Cubs Owner Tom Ricketts Got Booed by Fans at CubsCon Over 'Marquee Network'

The only way for Chicago Cubs fans to watch their beloved Cubbies next year will be on the team-owned "Marquee Network." The move will end existing partnerships with WGN, the local ABC affiliate, and NBC Sports Chicago, which had been the way to watch Cubs baseball in the past. In pairing with the controversial Sinclair Broadcast Group and Charter Communications, Cubs owner Tom Ricketts has drawn the ire of the fanbase, which rained boos on him at CubsCon.

I take it Cubs fans aren't too pleased with their owner?

The success of the Yankees-owned YES Network shows that this venture could be a home run if done correctly, but Ricketts seems to have bungled almost everything from the word go. Cubs fans feel this this is more of a blatant money grab than it is trying to improve the viewing experience at home for the fans.

There have been better days for Cubs fans, but at least they're letting their owner know that they're not happy about what's going down.
