VIDEO: Cowboys Scouting Staffer and Former DT Josh Brent Arrested for Public Intoxication
By Will Fowler

Even with the NBA and NHL free agencies getting all the attention, the Dallas Cowboys are still finding their way into the news. Former defensive tackle and current scouting staffer Josh Brent was arrested on public intoxication charges on Sunday. The scene was not especially pretty.

Witness says he was telling people to Google him. He was wearing Cowboys pants and no shirt or shoes. Police called for welfare chk, he was intoxicated @wfaa pic.twitter.com/ZUDNH1VxyW
This is pathetic in a number of different ways. First, Brent was seen in public without a shirt or shoes, and when he was approached by police, he began to resist to the point that he had to be controlled and tased by three officers. While he was resisting arrest, he continued to tell the police officers to "Google me."
Seriously, dude?

This isn't Brent's first run-in with the law -- in 2012, he was driving drunk and killed a teammate in an accident. Charged with intoxication manslaughter, Brent was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Here's to hoping Brent straightens himself out, because this isn't his first scrape with the law for intoxication and substance abuse. Eventually, he won't get any more chances.
