VIDEO: Coach K Goes off on Duke Student Section After Apparent Comments About Pittsburgh Coach Jeff Capel

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski had quite the bizarre moment Tuesday night while his Blue Devils took on the Pittsburgh Panthers. Pitt is coached by Duke alum Jeff Capel, who until recently worked as an assistant for the Blue Devils, and the fans decided to have some fun with a "Jeff Capel sit with us chant." That apparently enraged Coach K.

This is beyond unnecessary. Coach K is overreacting and is screaming at students for what is apparently a chant done jeered at all former Duke players and coaches who are up against the Blue Devils.

For some reason, this particular incident set Krzyzewski over the edge.

Capel played at Duke from 1993-1997 and coached there from 2011-2018 before taking the Pittsburgh job. He surely knows the tradition of the chant and may even have expected to hear it. Most in attendance probably also expected to both take part in and hear the chant.

That makes the whole Coach K blowup so much crazier. This is not a new thing and it really isn't too controversial of a chant. So much for a home-court advantage with the Cameron Crazies, as Coach K's outburst just silenced the crowd.
