Out of all the countless memorable moments from his 13-year MLB career, this one is probably going to stick with Carlos Gomez the longest...right? The 33-year-old New York Mets outfielder stole second base and then hilariously lost his shoe on his way to third while advancing on the overthrow.
Didn't slow him down one bit.
Even as he enters the latter years of his career, Gomez still has enough speed to swipe two bags in one play, one of them sans-cleat.
What's even more impressive is his choice to execute his slide feet first.
