Carey Price gained plenty of fans this year after meeting with young Anderson Whitehead, an 11-year-old fan who lost his mother to cancer. Prior to her passing, Whitehead's mother promised to her son that she would do whatever it took for him to meet his hero. During the NHL Awards, the two met once again, and someone must have been chopping up some onions, because the waterworks were on full display.

Whitehead immediately broke down after seeing Price approach him on the stage. Price presented the young boy with an autographed jersey and asked him if he wanted to attend next year's All Star Game. Obviously, Anderson replied with a heartfelt "yes," and immediately hugged his idol.

This is what sports is all about, to create memories for young fans. Price definitely earned some new supporters as a result of this feel-good moment he shared with his friend, Anderson Whitehead.
