VIDEO: Cam Newton Exits Gillette Stadium in Walking Boot After Suffering Foot Injury vs Patriots
By Karl Rasmussen

Cam Newton's offensive line couldn't buy him the protection he needed against the Patriots during their preseason clash. The Panthers' QB was sacked twice in his short time on the field, and he suffered a foot injury on the second one, forcing him to exit the game. Afterwards, Newton was seen with a walking boot on his foot as he exited Gillette Stadium.

While the star quarterback may have been hoping the rest of his outfit would distract people from the boot, all eyes were focused on his feet after the injury.
The boot could be seen covering his left foot as he walked out of Gillette Stadium, so Panthers fans will be anxiously awaiting an update from the team.

While it's encouraging that his shoulder doesn't seem to be an issue, he is now dealing with a whole new injury that could potentially sideline him for the season opener.
Newton was shut down after 14 games last season due to his ailing shoulder, and Panthers fans were hoping to get a full 16-game slate out of the former MVP in 2019.
