VIDEO: Austin Riley Slugs 2nd-Inning Home Run off Mets' Jacob deGrom

While the Atlanta Braves have been on a tear as of late, their NL East rival New York Mets have been on an equally as disappointing skid recently. With 2018 NL Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom on the mound for the Mets, they're trying to bounce back after a gut wrenching four-game sweep at the hands of the Philadelphia Phillies. deGrom was able to hold the Braves scoreless for the first inning, but with rookie Austin Riley at the plate, he couldn't hold the Braves off any longer.

deGrom just can't seem to find a rhythm this season, with that two-run shot by Riley being his 13th home run allowed in 2019 after only allowing only ten all of last season. It was also the 13th homer of the year for Riley, who had a strong first month but has since cooled down. Maybe this rip will get him back in the swing of things.
