VIDEO: Antonio Brown Talking About Not Needing Football Proves Raiders Blew it Trading for Him
By Michael Luciano

In the span of a week, the Oakland Raiders trade for disgruntled superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown has gone from calculated risk to chemistry-destroying mishap. Not only did Brown almost freeze his feet off and end up with frostbite, but he's allegedly contemplated retirement over not being allowed to wear the same style of helmet he wore for his entire career. Raiders fans nervous about AB leaving should be concerned about this interview in March in which he stated he could retire healthy and that he doesn't need the game.
Antonio Brown in early March: “I don’t even have to play football if I don’t want. I don’t even need the game... Obviously I want the game but I don’t need the game.... "I'm perfectly fine with walking away fully healthy or whatever.”pic.twitter.com/Ex6DRjfyTT

Brown has made seven Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams in his career, so his legacy as the most dominant receiver of the late 2010s is already secure.
While he doesn't have a championship, it appears that Brown is already content with his legacy as a football player and is willing to walk away from $31 million guaranteed with the Raiders if he isn't allowed to bring his favorite helmet with him to Oakland.

In the span of 1.5 years, Brown went from chasing some of Jerry Rice's records to disgruntled locker room question mark to laughing stock. That's an impressive fall.
