VIDEO: 49ers RB Raheem Mostert Has Awesome Motivation Tactic Before Every Game
By Jerry Trotta

Our guess is that you'll hear A LOT about Raheem Mostert's bottom-dog journey to becoming one of the San Francisco 49ers' most dynamic offensive weapons over the next few weeks. After all, the 27-year-old tailback was cut by six(!) NFL teams in less than two years after going undrafted out of Purdue back in 2015. Well, after his sensational performance on Sunday that helped San Fran punch a ticket to the Super Bowl, Mostert revealed that he uses that narrative as motivation before each game.
Raheem Mostert says he looks at the list of teams that cut him before every game for motivation. All 7 of them.

“I actually still have the cut dates," said Mostert. "And I look at that before every game. I look at the cut dates when I got cut. I’ve been on, like I said, seven different teams. The journey’s been crazy. Not even, not everybody can deal with that type of stress and pain and agony that I went through.”
Tabbed my most draft scouts as a glorified track star, Mostert never truly got a chance to prove the naysayers wrong. He spent time with the Eagles, Browns, Dolphins, Ravens, Bears and Jets before landing on his feet with the 49ers.

He still looks at the list of all six teams and the cut date of when they released him for motivation.

Filling in for an injured Tevin Coleman, Mostert went bananas against Green Bay, rushing for 220 yards and four touchdowns. If that's not poetic justice, we don't know what is.
