For the second year in a row, Saints fans have a legitimate gripe with the officiating in the NFL playoffs.

According to former NFL official Terry McAulay, Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph did indeed commit offensive pass interference on his game-winning touchdown in overtime in New Orleans. And, true to form, the NFL didn't even take a look at the play, even after putting the protocol in place.

McAulay explained the rule before stating in no uncertain terms, "That was OPI."

The replay itself shows that the play falls directly in line with the requirements for pass interference. Rudolph fully extends his right arm directly into the chest of Saints defensive back PJ Williams, benefiting from the space he generated. It certainly could've been called. It DEFINITELY should've been looked at.

This now marks the second year in a row that the Saints have the opportunity to scapegoat the officials for a brutal loss. The question that remains, however, is how the team and the fans will react.

Whatever happens, though, it simply won't change the fact that at the end of the day, the call on the field stood and the Vikings walked away with the win.
