There were arguably no bigger Oregon Duck fans on Friday night than members of the Oklahoma Sooners, as they were hoping for an upset in the Pac-12 Championship in order to have a clearer path to the College Football Playoff.

Well, Oregon delivered, handing Utah a loss in the conference championship. That leaves the door wide open for Oklahoma to leap into the No. 4 seed with a Georgia loss and a win over Baylor on Saturday.

Jalen Hurts and the Sooners need to deliver on Saturday after their dreams were kept alive by the Ducks, who buoyed a strong first half into a victory.

With Utah out of the picture now, the final spot in the CFP is effectively up for grabs in a three-horse race between the Sooners, Baylor and Georgia. Barring an upset win for Georgia over LSU, the Sooners can lock up the spot with a convincing showing against Baylor.

Baylor remains a tough opponent for Oklahoma, but they've taken them down earlier this season, and the fact that Utah failed to deliver should have the Sooners fired up. There's still work to do on Oklahoma's end, but Oregon lived up to its end of the bargain and kept the Sooners' dreams afloat.
