VIDEO: USWNT Star Samantha Mewis Scores Incredible Free Kick Goal Against Mexico

The US Women's National Team was partaking in an Olympic qualifying bout against Mexico on Friday evening, and as they typically do, the women put on quite a show. Perhaps the most stunning highlight of the evening came on a perfect set piece, courtesy of former UCLA standout Samantha Mewis.

Mewis placed this low free kick with precision and struck it hard as it blazed past Mexico's defensive line and into the bottom corner of the net, handing the US a 3-0 lead.
The women's victory saw the USWNT qualify for the Olympics in Tokyo in 2020, where they'll compete to earn a gold medal for the third straight time.
