USWNT closes out Olympics group play with a win over Australia

Emma Hayes' squad is flying into the quarterfinals.

It was a perfect showing for the U.S. Women's National Team in group play at the 2024 Olympics. First, the USA took down Zambia 3-0 and followed things up with a 4-1 win over Germany not long ago. To wrap things up, a date with Australia was on the schedule.

Once again, Emma Hayes' team took care of business, posting a 2-1 victory. Trinity Rodman and Korbin Albert scored the goals for the red, white and blue, while Alanna Kennedy found the back of the net for the Australians.

The first three games of the Paris Olympics have gone sensationally, but the hard work is just beginning. Next up is the quarterfinals for the USWNT, where they'll have a tough showdown against Japan. With a win, the team will move one step closer to reaching its gold medal dreams.
