She's had a convincing road to the Final, too. Williams bounced longtime rival Maria Sharapova in exquisite fashion in the first round and has dominated the rest of the way.
As for Andreescu, the David to Williams' Goliath in this matchup, it's been a whirlwind time at the US Open. The 19-year-old's meteoric rise has been nothing short of brilliant. She managed to squeak by Bianca Bencic in the semifinal to set up this showdown.
