Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence had arguably the best freshman season in college football history, throwing 30 touchdowns against only four interceptions while leading an undefeated Tigers team over Nick Saban's Alabama to become the first true freshman quarterback to win a championship since in 1985.

Former Ohio State coach turned football analyst Urban Meyer might have had just a little bit too much of the Lawrence Kool-Aid, declaring that Lawrence is the best quarterback EVER in college football.

Can we cool it just a bit here?

This is in NO WAY a shot at Lawrence, who is already a champion, is the favorite to win both the Heisman and another ring this year, and will likely be the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2021. However, let's add some perspective here. There are quarterbacks with individual statistical records and unparalleled team success that Lawrence is no where year just yet.

I wonder how Tim Tebow feels about hearing his former coach gas up Lawrence.

Once 2021 rolls around and Lawrence has two more years of decimating the ACC under his belt, we can reopen this discussion.
