UEFA Euro 2020 Mascot is Just Some Guy Named Skillzy and He's Pretty Disturbing
By Michael Luciano

It never ceases to amaze how an organization as massive, important, and well-known as FIFA continues to screw up the simplest of decisions.
Instead of aiming for a cute and cuddly mascot that would be more marketable for kids in order to promote Euro 2020, FIFA decided to go with Skillzy, an uncanny valley humanoid that looks like a one-off character from a bad episode of Sesame Street.
The fact that dozens of people saw hundreds of designs for a mascot and all decided on this one is simply mind-blowing.
The huge, dead eyes aren't going over so well on social media.
We don't blame you, Twitter. We're scared too.
To give the Euro 2020 marketing team a bit of a break, the 2020 tournament will take place in several cities across Europe rather than in one country. This removed the ability to create a mascot more representative of the host nation. Even with that added loophole, the best they could do is a cartoon person with huge eyes?
Euro 2020 begins on June 12, 2020, when Skillzy will first terrify the world at large with his peculiar design.
