Barry McCockiner strikes again! The famed internet troll who loves fooling the biggest names in sports media by creating fake rumors and masquerading as a legit outlet has once again managed to fake out thousands of football fans with his latest tweet about Colin Kaepernick.

McCockiner floated a false rumor that the New York Jets agreed to a one-year contract with the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, and thousands on Twitter thought the NFL reversed course and signed the exiled former NFC Champion.

McCockiner has floated the same rumor with the same photo and contract details a few times over the last few years, and people continue to be fooled by it.

A local Fox affiliate even went as far as to craft an entire story based around that tweet. Luckily, the story has been changed to reflect how they were trolled.

This troll job even managed to fool those in the political arena, as former DNC chair Donna Brazile bought into this before realizing her mistake.

Rule of thumb for next time, guys. If you click on an account you think is SportsCenter, but you see the handle is @SuperToughScene and the header picture is the scene in Happy Gilmore where Carl Weathers and an alligator are waving to Adam Sandler from heaven, that's probably not the real SC.
