Twitter Data Reveals Rooting Interest by State for Divisional Round of NFL Playoffs

Eight NFL teams remain in the postseason as the Divisional Round is set to get underway Saturday afternoon in Santa Clara.
The San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Houston Texans all have the support of their respective fan bases locally. Yet some recent Twitter data showed how the teams are being bet on and rooted for all over the nation.

The data, which comes from sportsbetting.ag and was collected through geotagged Twitter information and hashtags from fans, features some interesting results. The 49ers dominate the Northeast part of the country, while the Packers have a surprising amount of supporters in the Southwest.
The Ravens and 49ers have among the most widespread supporters, based on the data. The Chiefs, on the other hand, dominate the Midwest.
