On Friday, several minor league players were officially suspended by Major League Baseball for violating the league's PED policy.

Three players, including Chicago Cubs minor league pitcher Marcos Encarnacion, Atlanta Braves minor league pitcher Luis Diaz, and Seattle Mariners minor league pitcher Eliezer Mejia, have received 72-game suspensions after testing positive for Stanozolol.

On top of these three minor leaguers, all of whom play in the Dominican Summer League, Minnesota Twins minor league left-hander Ian Krol has been suspended 50 games for a drug of abuse.

Yes, the same Ian Krol who pitched in the big leagues for the Washington Nationals, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels.

If you're in the DSL, you're likely a young player just getting your feet wet in professional baseball. This doesn't help any of the suspended kids' chances of moving up the ranks down the road.

As for Krol, this is the kind of thing that could end his chances of returning to the big leagues.
