The Tagovailoa family is incredibly grateful and humble even in a very difficult time.
The family has released a statement after their son and Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa underwent season-ending hip surgery.

The statement came Tuesday, three days after the quarterback suffered the injury in No. 5 Alabama's 38-7 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The family could not have been more grateful for everyone who's been involved in their son's life up until this point.
Even the Crimson Tide quarterback himself seems hopeful. Prior to his hip surgery, Tagovailoa was seemingly in good spirits and having a blast in his hospital bed.

Tagovailoa will finish the season with 2,840 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.
The Crimson Tide will go with sophomore quarterback Mac Jones down the stretch against Western Carolina this weekend and in the Iron Bowl at No. 16 Auburn next weekend.
Tua will be sorely missed for the rest of the way, but he'll forever be a legend in Tuscaloosa.
