VIDEO: Tristan Wirfs Rolls Out Red Carpet for His Mom in Adorable Pre-NFL Draft Ceremony
By Mark Powell

You gotta hand it to Tristan Wirfs, he has his priorities in order prior to the biggest night of his athletic career so far. Wirfs is expected to be selected in the first round on Thursday, battling with Andrew Thomas to be among the first offensive linemen taken. The former Iowa Hawkeye made sure to honor the woman who's stuck with him every step of the way before the Draft's 8:00 p.m. ET start time, laying out a literal red carpet for her.

If NFL GMs had any doubts about Wirfs' attitude prior to this moment, let's hope those concerns have evaporated.
Wirfs comes from humble beginnings, as he and his mother lived in a trailer park until he was five. Suddenly, Wirfs has the opportunity to provide for his family and then some, and it's stories like these that make the entire NFL Draft process so emotional for so many.
Just talked to a league source who says #Giants are comfortable trading down in part because they have their top 3 OTs graded similarly: Tristan Wirfs (Iowa), Andrew Thomas (Georgia) and Mekhi Becton (Louisville). “Could draft any of the three and be completely fine with him.”

The Wirfs family will have plenty to celebrate on Thursday night, and Tristan is making the most out of this life-changing event.
