Trae Young delivered one of the standout performances of his career on Thursday night, willing the lowly Atlanta Hawks to a stunning upset victory over the Miami Heat.

The sophomore out of Oklahoma dropped 50 points and eight assists, shooting 8-of-15 on 3s and knocked down 18-of-19 attempts from the charity stripe.

After the game, Young offered up his jersey to longtime friend and decorated rapper, Quavo. When asked why he didn't keep the jersey after reaching the half-century mark, Ice Trae had a savage response.

We couldn't agree more.

More importantly, however, this quote is a perfect testament to Young's bulletproof mentality and confidence. Countless NBA Draft scouts wrote him off due to his less-than favorable 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame.

The 21-year-old point guard, fresh off starting his first All-Star Game, has earned the right to boast this sort of hubris. He even took aim at Jimmy Butler on social media after avenging December's humiliating overtime loss against Miami.

It's about time we realized that it's Trae's world. We're just living in it.
