Tony Romo Expected to Surpass John Madden's Record Broadcaster Salary by Wide Margin
By Michael Luciano

Tony Romo has quickly risen to the top of the cross-network analyst rankings, and the soon-to-be TV free agent has a chance to shatter John Madden's salary, a mark which was previously thought of as untouchable.
Romo is projected to earn more than Madden's $8 million per year, and some estimations have the former Dallas Cowboys QB reaching $14 million per year in salary.

Romo has spent his post-football life as the analyst alongside Jim Nantz on CBS's No. 1 football team, where he has quickly gained universal praise for his knowledge of the game, ability to breakdown difficult concepts in simple language, and enthusiasm.
ESPN, more specifically Monday Night Football, would be the most logical place for Romo to go if he leaves CBS, as they have the platform and money to coax the 39-year-old into leaving CBS for the worldwide leader.

While Romo might not be $14 million per year good, the gap in quality from Booger McFarland to him is the Grand Canyon. If ESPN decides to splash the cash, Romo could leave Nantz and end up as the voice of Monday Night, and the MNF ratings might get out of the gutter.
