Patriots Fans Must Love Seeing Tom Brady Being 0-1 Without Bill Belichick

The New England Patriots fan base hasn't been this dejected during an NFL offseason since they lost star running back Curtis Martin to the rival New York Jets. Nobody in their right mind thought that quarterback Tom Brady would ever consider wearing anything other than a Patriots uniform. But that's what happened the six-time Super Bowl champion signed with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

New England fans have taken up the role of the spurned ex, sitting around and moping watching their former flame have fun. But they got their pick-me-up on Sunday afternoon, as Brady and partner Phil Mickelson lost to Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods in the golf outing dubbed "The Match II."

That means Brady is technically 0-1 without head coach Bill Belichick.

We know many of you are screaming that it's just golf. But Patriots fans will let you know that Brady and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan won a celebrity golf tournament back in 2006...when TB12 was New England's starting signal caller.

Coincidence? Patriots fans think not!

Those very same diehards tooted the horn for Brady for the past two decades, deservedly calling him the greatest quarterback of all time. This is a guy who brought countless (and we mean countless) AFC East Championships and six Lombardi Trophies to New England. He was a hero in Boston sports.

But now that he's no longer a Patriot, they're calling him a "bum" and "a system quarterback." Maybe if the Patriots provided him with quality weapons, he wouldn't have left. Just some food for thought.

If Patriots fans are cheering for Brady losing in a charity golf tournament, we'd hate to see them once Brady is leading the Buccaneers to victory in 2020, while New England flips back and forth between Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer under center.

Keep that same energy in the fall, Pats fans! We're filing the receipts right now.
