Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is known for being an ageless wonder. At 42, he is still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and is only one season removed from his sixth Super Bowl win. So, how does he do it? His health and nutrition regiments have drawn increasing attention, and in recent years, Brady has begun releasing dietary supplements under his namesake brand, TB12. Unfortunately, his newest product is a bit problematic given the current state of the world.

The product, called "Protect," is designed to "support a healthy immune system to help you stay strong." In itself, this thing isn't too out of the ordinary. Just about every supplement brand out theree pushes some kind of alleged immune booster. The timing for the big reveal, however, is drawing fair criticism. By releasing this product in the middle of an international pandemic, there is the sincere risk of appearing to suggest the product will "protect" you against the coronavirus, whether or not that's the company's intention.

To be clear, no cure for COVID-19 has been discovered, and there is no known treatment to increase natural resistance to the virus.

Many have accused the Buccaneers quarterback of taking advantage of the moment and using the public's fear against them in order to sell products.

Even the appearance of using the virus as a marketing tactic would be completely shameful. With so many having already lost their lives, the TB12 brand needs to show some more tact that this.
