Tom Brady is a sought-after commodity during the pause of professional sports action. After joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency, Brady's media appearances were rather limited in terms of interviews. However, against all odds, the person who got the first one-on-one gig with the new Bucs quarterback was shock jock Howard Stern.

During his appearance with Stern on Wednesday, Brady eventually delved into the gross-out and obscene content the fans came for, and brought up the time he suffered a nasty hernia injury during the 2006 season and the side effects, well...they were bleak!

OUCH! Every man who listened no doubt had to collect themselves for a moment, because that injury is quite possibly the most painful we've heard in quite some time.

Give Brady credit -- he continued to play through the swelling (and Matt Cassell's ribbing, not for your pleasure) and helped lead the Patriots to the AFC Championship Game that year. That's true guts from "Purple Balls."

To add to the unfortunate nickname, Brady said that Cassel actually drew pictures of his injury and left them in his locker for quite a while. That's not nice. It just goes to show that even the greatest quarterback of this generation is still just one of the boys in the Patriots locker room.

As for that injury, we wouldn't wish that on our worst enemy, and you shouldn't either. That's just too much punishment for any one man to endure.
