There's no doubt that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time, and even though he's getting ready to turn 42 years old, he's taken care of his body and remains in great shape.

However, when you look at him at training camp, Brady does look like he's gained some weight.

Of course, that was the game plan, and Brady talked about it to the media.

"I focused on a lot of things, I really did. Every year has its different challenges. I wanted to get a little bigger this year and put on a few more pounds and try to absorb the hits a little more," Brady said, regarding his offseason weight gain. "I worked pretty hard at that. It was good. I still realized when I got here I wanted to be a little more fluid. There's a difference between getting really dense and obviously getting more pliable."

Don't get me wrong, of course; Brady still looks to be in great shape. If anything, the extra weight should do him good throughout the course of the season. Especially at his age, Brady needs to do everything he can to absorb hits without getting injured.

There's was nothing Brady could do to be more athletic, so let's not act like the extra poundage will take away his ability to be mobile. That was never part of his game.

Stay pliable, though, King.
