Todd McShay to Miss ESPN NFL Draft Coverage After Revealing Coronavirus Diagnosis

The NFL Draft has been the showpiece of ESPN's menagerie of televised offseason football events for years, and the big event rolls around, two names are at the top of the call sheet to contextualize and break down the action: Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay. The Worldwide Leader's go-to talent evaluators are truly the Barons of the BIg Board. It's hard to imagine a draft taking place without them.
But unfortunately for McShay, tonight's festivities will begin without him. He revealed Thursday on Twitter that he contracted the coronavirus, and will continue recovering at home away from the television cameras.

It's an unfortunate setback for one of NFL Draft season's most ubiquitous (and credible) faces, and a scary one, too. Fortunately, McShay reports that he's on the road to rehabilitation.
He even made sure to sneak in an obligatory Kiper dig, which is the best possible proof that he's ultimately still the same McShay.
